On the 8
February 1924, the F. C. Strick & Co’s steamer “MORA” (Capt. Worthington)
of 5.067 tons built in 1922 was carrying coal, en-route from Manchester via
Rotterdam to Savona, when she was wrecked in a storm on rocks near Cabo Vicente,
Portugal. Captain Worthington and 16 of the crew were lost. 18 were saved.
