On June 30th, 1968, the Italian cargo ship PIETRO
REMBADO, 2000 tons built in 1950, ex Wandwort Ing on voyage from Savona to
Leixoes with a cargo of coke, sank after a collision with ship RIO TAJO, 6nm SW
off Cabo Sao Vicente. Owned at the time by Spimar SpA, Genoa, Italy.
