Temerario
SS was an Italian Passenger/Cargo Steamer of 3,922 tons built in 1882 by A
& J Inglis, Pointhouse, Glasgow, Yard No 166 for Gray & Dawes, Glasgow
as the SS REWA. In 1886 she was purchased by British India S.N. Co. and in 1906
by the Soc. Anon. de Nav. Transatlantica, Montevideo and renamed BRASILENO. In
1911 she was purchased by Rafael Llusa, Montevideo and renamed ORIENTAL. In
1912 she was purchased by Pietro Pittaluga fu N., Genoa and renamed TEMERARIO.On
the 21st August 1913 she was wrecked 6 miles North of Cape St. Vincent when on
route from Newcastle for Savona with a cargo of coal.
