Torvore SS was a
Norwegian cargo steamer of 1,667grt date built 1882. On the 24th April 1917 she was stopped by
German submarine U-35 (Lothar von Arnauld de la Periere) and sunk with
charges/bombs off Cape St. Vincent, Portugal and about 2 miles SE of Sagres
whilst on route from Swansea for Naples with a cargo of coal.
