DERWEN
DERWEN 3600 tons built 1899
SS Derwen english steamer ran aground and was wrecked on rocks at Cape Sagres and beached in Sagres Bay as a total loss on a voyage from Kherson to Rotterdam with grain on the 8th December 1911.
ROWA
ROWA 2840 tons built 1895
On July 29th, 1910, the
British cargo ship ROWA, built in 1895 by Furness Withy & Co., Ltd. and owned
at the time of her loss by Gratitude Steamship Co., on voyage from Tyne to
Coal, was lost after running aground off Cape St. Vincent, Portugal.

SELENE
SS Selene, built
by Offic. e Cant. Liguri Anconitani, Ancona in 1903 and owned at the time of
her loss by Soc. Commerciale Italiana di Navigazione, Genoa, was an Italian steamer
of 3.955 tons. On October 28th, 1916, Selene, on a voyage from Norfolk to
Italy, was sunk by the German submarine U-63 (Otto Schultze), 30 miles
southeast of Cabo de Santa María. There were no casualties
